BC Ferries’ Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal provides a critical link between the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and Bowen Island. Due to the high volume of vehicle traffic utilizing this facility, key components experience significant wear-and-tear over time.
In early 2020, repairs to the Berth 2 Lower Primary Apron and Berth 3 Starboard Wingwall were awarded to Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd.
Scope of work included:
• Horseshoe Bay apron removal and installation of new apron
• Horseshoe Bay Wingwall replacement
• Langdale Wingwall replacement
Construction achieved the tight shutdown deadline in the midst of a global pandemic, allowing BC Ferries to re-open an additional route on schedule.
