The project consisted of the removal and disposal of woody and other organic debris and concrete slabs, salvage of existing rip rap, and import of new materials to the site. Armour rock, filter rock and gravel over geotextile fabric was put in place to restore the existing shoreline protection infrastructure.

VanPile’s scope of work:

  • Removal of existing concrete debris, trees and shrubs, foreign and vegetative debris and timber piles along the shoreline.
  • Removal of the existing timber bulkhead wall and associated timber piles.
  • Supply and installation new and salvaged fencing as required as well as associated concrete footings.
  • Supply and installation of shoreline protection (including filter stone, armour stone, and geotextile).
  • Supply and installation of Lock-BlocksĀ® along the shoreline.
