Expanding NW Langley’s WWTP to meet the needs of growing population in the region.
The Northwest Langley Wastewater Treatment Plant, which currently serves 30,000 people in Langley, is in the process of being expanded on the same site to serve 230,000 people, including residents and businesses in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows across the Fraser River.
As part of the project, VanPile was responsible for treatment of in-situ Fraser River Sand deposits to support a waste water treatment plant using Dry Bottom Feed Vibro Replacement Stone Columns method.
VanPile’s scope of work included the installation of approximately 3,000 each, 900 mm diameter stone columns, up to 30 meters deep on an equilateral triangular spacing.
