The South Fraser Perimeter Road provides an efficient transportation corridor all while reducing traffic in residential areas.

The South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR) is a four-lane route, approximately 40 kilometres in length, located on the south side of the Fraser River. The SFPR extends from Deltaport Way in Southwest Delta to 176th Street (Highway 15) in Surrey, with connections to Highway 1, 91, 99 and to Translink’s Golden Ears Bridge connector.

The structural and foundation design of the SFPR includes:

  • Twenty new bridges
  • Seven major roadway connections
  • Seven major overpass/underpass structures
  • Major retaining walls
  • Expansion of the cycling network
  • Widening of several bridges/culverts
  • Improvement to municipal road connections
