Dredging shallow areas in the navigational channel of the Kootenay Lake Ferry to ensure safe operation at lower lake levels.

Mobilization of S70 flexi-float portable pontoons for one derrick barge completed with Liebherr HS885 crawler crane, and one material scow completed with 45,000 lb excavator.

VanPile’s scope of work included:

• Dredging of approximately 11,000 cubic metres of material in eight channel areas.
• Disposal of dredged material in a designated area.
