MARINE CONSTRUCTION

All along the West Coast, a long list of docks and terminal facilities stand in testimony of Vanpile's proven capabilities in a wide range of work from repairs and renovations to major construction.  Projects include container and cargo shipping terminals, along with cruise ship, naval and ferry system facilities to the Design/Build construction of entire marine terminals.

Vanpile has constructed many of the major marine terminals in Vancouver Harbour, such as the Seabus Terminals and container facilities including Vanterm, Lynnterm, Centerm and Deltaport.  Marine terminal work in northern British Columbia includes the Fariview Terminal and Expansion in Prince Rupert and the Methanol Terminal in Kitimat.

Vanpile has also completed work at many of the ferry terminals along the coast including Horseshoe Bay, Departure Bay, Tsawwassen, Duke Point and Swartz Bay.  We have also been involved in projects for smaller ferry terminals such as Sidney, Brentwood Bay, Mill Bay, Thetis Island, Earl's Cove, Long Harbour, Saltery Bay, Gabriola Island, and Langdale.

These facilities consist of a variety of marine structures including pile docks, concrete crib/cassions and concrete floating terminals.  Vanpile has developed innovative methods and specialized equipment to ensure maximum efficiency in marine construction.  Our expert staff, equipment resources and facilities are unmatched in western Canada.
