Vanpile is committed to providing a safe work environment wherein the health and well being of its employees is the fundamental objective.

Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. considers health and safety to be of fundamental importance.  Our primary concern is for the safety of our employees and others who may come in contact with our operations.  This concern extends to the security of the site, equipment and facilities.  Safety is an essential consideration in every aspect of each work activity including planning, design, equipment, material specifications, procurement, construction and maintenance.

In order to meet these aims, Vanpile has initiated a comprehensive Health and Safety Program designed to ensure compliance with government safety regulations.  Our intention is to eliminate hazards to personnel, risk of property damage to our equipment and prevent any harm to our surrounding environment.

Guiding Principles

  1. Meet or exceed all applicable environmental, health and safety requirements and verify our performance through annual audits.
  2. Communicate environmental, health and safety policies and programs to all of our employees and subcontractors.
  3. Conduct assessments to provide adequate controls for all job site hazards (e.g. substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or personal protective equipment and clothing).
  4. Ensure that all employees are aware of their role and responsibility to fulfill and sustain Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd's environmental, health and safety management systems and policies.
  5. Conduct informal and formal inspections to find and correct any unsafe acts or conditions.
  6. Investigate every incident, promptly and thoroughly, to find out what may have contributed to it and how to prevent the incident from occurring again.
  7. Properly maintain tools, equipment and facilities.
  8. Use CSA-approved or comparable personal protective equipment and clothing as needed.

Vanpile's supervisors and employees are committed to implementing the safety program on the job sites.  As a WCB COR certified company, we aim to achieve our ultimate goal of zero accidents each year.
